The case is live. Nothing in this file is a finding, and most of what follows can change in a week.
In the courts
- The Panchkula Special CBI Court's decision on whether the bank is treated as a victim.
- Whether sanction is given, and when, so the court can take cognisance of the third chargesheet against the six IAS officers.
- Bail pleas of those still in custody. Rishi's was rejected on 21 August.
- The ED's prosecution complaint of 9 July and any adjudication of the Rs 200.83 crore attachment.
In the agencies
- Further chargesheets, and whether D K Behera and Mani Ram Sharma are added or cleared.
- The ED's follow-up to the 29 September raids.
- Whether the CBI's quantum for Haryana (Rs 504 crore) and the ED's figure (Rs 645.59 crore) are reconciled in a document.
At the bank
- Its position on the ThePrint report of 2 October.
- Recoveries from lien-marked accounts, which the bank said in February might reduce the hit.
- Any regulatory action, none of which appears in the sources reviewed.
How to read the next headline
Ask three things. Which figure is it, and what perimeter does it count? Is the person named an accused, a chargesheeted accused, or convicted? And is the statement the agency's, the bank's, or a court's? Most confusion in this story has come from mixing up the answers.
